Whether pumpkins should be used for decoration or as a delicious ingredient could be argued all day. The good thing, however is that there’s no need to decide. With nearby patches aplenty, the popular pumpkin can permeate all aspects of fall from plate to porch (and everything in between).
Pumpkins aren’t simply a crop, but are indeed representative of the season. Venturing to a pumpkin patch often means looking forward to the whole experience of taking a hayride, walking corn mazes and shopping for seasonal decor.
Get out and enjoy fall by picking, eating and displaying the perfect pumpkin!
Butcher’s Family Fun Farm & Corn Maze
Get ready for fall with activities for kids and adults like a four-acre corn maze, slides, karts, a barrel train, hayrides and Straw Kingdom (an additional maze made of straw bales). PYO pumpkins will be just one item on the list. Food can be brought in or purchased and a picnic area is available. Pick up a souvenir from the gift shop to remember the day.

The Country Barn
With so many activities in one place, the Country Barn is synonymous with fall. The famous Barnyard Kingdom lies on the same property as the PYO pumpkins and market, so it’s possible to choose a baked good, pick a pumpkin, feed a goat, watch a pig race and drink apple cider all in one day. The baked goods alone make the trip worthwhile; with homemade whoopie pies (including pumpkin flavor) and apple cider donuts, adults will be as happy as the kids.

The three-acre maze allows lots of places to hide clues making for a unique experience in addition to pumpkin related activities like PYO, a straw bale slide, pumpkin painting, an apple sling shot and other amusements.
