This year's U.S. Women’s Open Golf Championship will take place May 30th through June 2nd at the Lancaster Country Club. Check out these fun—and free—events and activities in the Susquehanna Valley leading up to the big weekend to get your golf on and get some prizes!
1. Can You Out-Drive Lexi Thompson?
Date: Sunday, May 5th, 1 p.m.-4 p.m.

Take a swing at free tickets to the U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally at the Outdrive Lexi Thompson challenge, taking place at inJoy Golf on Sunday, May 5th, from 1 p.m.-4 p.m.
Participants who can outdrive the LPGA champion’s 2015 Lancaster Country Club drive of 287 yards will be entered to win tickets to the 79th U.S. Women’s Open.
Four single-day 1761 Club tickets are up for grabs, with premium seating located just off the 16th hole. One winner will be selected at random from the pool of qualifying contestants.
This competition is free and open to the public. Spectators are welcome to attend to cheer on the golfers and to take a photo with the U.S. Women’s Open Harton S. Semple Trophy. Limited-release Spring House Championship Pale Ale will be available on tap for purchase during the event, and tickets to the U.S. Women’s Open will also be for sale on-site.

2. Championship Pale Ale Launch Party

3. Long Putt Contest

On Thursday, May 23rd from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the Lancaster Marriott and Lancaster County Convention Center, enter a long putt contest, snap photos with the Harton S. Semple Trophy, and purchase your tickets to the U.S. Women’s Open. Try your luck at sinking a 30-foot putt to score prizes like a one-night stay at the Lancaster Marriott and gift cards to Plough and The Exchange! Free for all ages. Bar available for 21+. 4. Hidden Ball Challenge
Date: Monday, April 29th through May 26th (Ongoing)
Location: 18 locations across Lancaster & York counties
In celebration of the 79th U.S. Women’s Open Presented by Ally, the USGA is challenging you to visit local businesses to find their hidden logoed golf balls, and enter for your chance to win several prizes!
It’s a great way to support local businesses while entering to win one of three prizes:
• A Grand Prize Package of two (2) Penn Club tickets, a behind-the-scenes tour of the media center and other facilities, and a Meet the Player experience.
• A Second Prize Package of two (2) 1761 Club tickets.
