Time for a date night or an evening excursion with a few friends? Check out Strasburg Rail Road’s Wine & Cheese train, which runs on select Saturday evenings through November 12. The $36 fare includes First-Class accommodations on the vintage steam train’s Parlor or Lounge Cars, a 45-minute ride through Lancaster countryside, and complimentary wine, cheese and crackers. Beer, mixed drinks, premium wines, nonalcoholic hot and cold beverages are also available for purchase. The outing is perfect for a break from the kids, a romantic date, or a relaxing way to spend time with friends. On Saturdays from June 18-September 3, trains depart at 7 p.m. as the rail road takes advantage of long summer nights. All other dates, departure is at 6 p.m. Photo ID is required to board the cars for this event; guests must be at least 21 years of age. Limited tickets are available. Guests are highly encouraged to purchase tickets online in advance.
