Symphonic Band Concert

The University Symphonic Band, conducted by Eric Hinton, will be joined by soprano and Assistant Professor of Music Corrine Byrne. Her first appearance with the ensemble will include Bernard Gilmore's "Five Folksongs for Soprano and Band." The Symphonic Band will also perform one of the great works of the wind band canon, "Lincolnshire Posy" by Percy Aldridge Grainger, a work comprised of folksongs settings of tunes collected by the composer.
