Shared Histories of African Americans and Native Americans in Cumberland County during the Carlisle Indian School Era,, 1879-1918.  Using primary and secondary sources, Jane Black, Barbara Landis, and Sandy Mader have worked together to find often-overlooked connections between the African American and Native American communities of the county's past.  As a result of that research, Sandy will present a talk that includes fascinating photos from the CCHS archives.
