Paint and Sip at Allenberry Resort: Van Gogh's "Starry Night"

Follow in the brush strokes of great Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh. Van Gogh struggled financially, with fame eluding both him and his works, during the second half of the 1800s during which he lived. The 20th century saw a posthumous rise in both the popularity of his works and their prices at art auctions.

Now, Van Gogh is considered not only one of the most influential Post-Impressionists of all time, but also an instrumental factor in the emergence of Expressionism.

Pinot Palette’s “Starry Night” instruction during Paint & Sip at Allenberry Resort aims to help you better understand the vivid colors, contours, and unique brushwork signature of Van Gogh, while still providing an entertaining class accessible enough for beginning artists. Class will be instructed by Jeremy Slagle, our resident scenic artist at The Playhouse at Allenberry.
