A One-day Workshop by Daniel Mack

A day-long introductory workshop of rustic design and building fun will be offered during the opening festivi­ties for Wildwood Park’s Art In The Wild 2014. Dan Mack will guide participants through the processes of designing and building a 12” “trophy” chair or other piece with branches, saplings and other natural materi­als. He will introduce ways of thinking about ‘rustic’ which honor both the designer and materials. This is a workshop for both the playful and the practical, young and old. Dan is an artist, teacher and author of numer­ous books on rustic topics and traditions. Registration is required; applications available at the nature center or by calling 717-221-0292.
