Guided Day Hike

Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve Mount Hope Road, Fairfield, Pennsylvania 17320

In 2010, 2,500 acres of a former tree farm bordering Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve became part of the Michaux State Forest. Join us to explore this varied landscape via a 7.2-mile looped hike leaving right from the preserve parking lot. Strawberry Hill Naturalists will lead the hike, assuring that you don't miss features of environmental and historical interest. Attendees should feel prepared to hike 7+ miles over moderately rough terrain, including over 1,100 feet of elevation gain.
Pre-registration is required for this program.
Cost is $20.00 members and $25.00 non-members.
For more than 25 years, the non-profit Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve has managed its 609 acres as a living classroom for the community. Open to the public year-round, Strawberry Hill offers a picnic area, nature center, and 10 miles of walking trails through wooded hillsides and mountain streams. It provides educational programs and special events throughout the year.
