Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve is hosting a fly casting clinic on Saturday, August 8th from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm at the Preserve. George Hammond, licensed Pennsylvania Fishing Guide, will help participants get to know the fly rod, entomology, fly selection, and casting techniques in the morning. After a brown bag lunch, everyone will head up to the pond for a chance to try out their new skills at catching some fish.
Pre-registration is required for this program.
Cost is $45.00 members and $55.00 non-members.
For more than 25 years, the non-profit Strawberry Hill Nature Preserve has managed its 609 acres as a living classroom for the community. Open to the public year-round, Strawberry Hill offers a picnic area, nature center, and 10 miles of walking trails through wooded hillsides and mountain streams. It provides educational programs and special events throughout the year.
