The Conestoga Area Historical Society’s 15th annual Harvest Festival will be held on Saturday October 20th from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. and on Sunday October 21st from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. at the grounds of the Museum which is located at Erhlich Park 51 Kendig Rd. Conestoga, PA 17516. There will be exhibits and demonstrations from local craftsmen and craftswomen which include: pottery making, woodworking, tinsmithing, weaving, quilting, spinning and dyeing, a cooper, broom making, rifle making, doll making, rug making, demonstrations of early American farm machinery, soap stones, powder horn making, a cobbler and more. There will be plenty of activities for children to include, early American toy demonstrations, pumpkin painting, cider making and log sawing. Also featured during the festival is the “Show of Fine Crafts”. On Sunday, visitors can enjoy uplifting acoustic music and song on fiddle and guitar by “Strings on Wings” from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
