Winner of nine Grammy Awards, the Emerson String Quartet, will perform three celebrated masterpieces: Borodin’s lush String Quartet No. 2, Bartok’s First String Quartet from the dawn of modernism, and Beethoven’s monumental String Quartet Op. 132. Quartet members will also be joined by soprano Susannah Woodruff, for a performance of three songs by composer and ESQ violinist Eugene Drucker. This concert has been added to MSC’s 40th Anniversary Season in appreciation to Harrisburg community for four decades of loyal support. Emerson String Quartet will be retiring in 2023 after a brilliant 47-year career and we are privileged to finish our anniversary season with one of world’s best ensemble at the height of its artistic powers!
Single tickets are $35, $30 for seniors, $5 for college students and FREE for K-12 school-age students with a $10 ticket available for one accompanying adult.
