The 2013 gallery exhibit at the Conestoga Area Historical Society is entitled “Face to Face – The Meeting of Two Diverse Cultures”. Sponsored by Turkey Hill Experience, the show explores the interactional relationship between local area Native Americans and the first European settlers, the German Anabaptists. The exhibit culminates with the 250th anniversary of the Conestoga Indian genocide and is jointly curated with the 1719 Hans Herr House Museum.
The Exhibit will be on display in Hoak Gallery on Saturdays and Sundays from April 13 through December 15, 2013. Times for viewing are 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Conestoga Area Historical Society, 51 Kendig Road, Conestoga, PA 17516
