CPFJ returns to Indian Echo Caverns again this year for our annual Picnic and are pleased to
present a wide variety of the best musicians from Central PA and beyond at this event.
Featured performers include:
1PM - Andy Roberts Quartet - pianist Andy Roberts has a new CD and is bringing the recording ensemble to the picnic. Tom Strohman (sax), John Riley (drums), and Steve Meashey ( bass) will perform with Andy.
2PM - CPFJ Youth Band directed by Ron Waters - our own ensemble of talented young jazz musicians - always inspiring.
3PM The Hammond Brothers - Drummer Phil Haynes trio that features Paul Bratcher (organ) & Jim Yanda (guitar)
5-PM The Marko Marcinko Latin Jazz Quintet - all the way from Scranton PA, this band features Marko (drums), Tom Hamilton (sax), Paul Rostock (bass), Bob Velez (perc.) & Bill Washer (guitar)
6PM - The Lower Paxton Township Variety Band - an 18 piece ensemble playing big band favorites and more.
7PM - No Last Call - Harrisburg’s legendary hit & run street band makes it’s second dynamic appearance at the Picnic.
We will be under the pavilion (rain or shine) at Indian Echo - they also has several picnic areas, a petting zoo, mini golf, a prospecting mill, gift shop, tours of the Caverns, and much more. Bring the kids and make a day of it! Ticket prices include beverages and there will be food available for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own picnic basket.
