Becoming Modern: The Travel Drawings of Louis I. Kahn and Charles Demuth

This exhibition features the travel drawings of Lousi I. Kahn, famed American architect best known for the Salk Institute, the Kimbell Art Museum and Yale University Art Gallery, as well as Charles Demuth, renowned American Modernist painter. Both artists took advantage of opportunities to travel the world in the early twentieth century and gather experiences that would impact the development of their own unique styles. Over 30 charcoal, graphite, pastel and watercolor drawings from both artists will be on view. Hours: Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sunday 1-4.
