THEIR LOVE STORY
Zach and I met at a small state college in New York (SUNY Oswego) back in 2012. I had my eyes on him since freshman orientation and had always seen him around campus. It wasn’t until Sophomore year, fall semester, that we had a smaller business class together and made my presence known. We had become mutual Facebook friends and I decided to reach out to him via messenger during winter break and hit it off right away and talked all day and night for that month. Our relationship started as soon as we returned for our second semester. We graduated together in 2014 and moved down to Philly shortly after graduating with some friends. We did the city thing for a year and then moved out to the suburbs and eventually bought our first home. Being together for 9 years we had a covid engagement and now married in 2021! We’re excited for our next chapter with our little sassy frenchie, Maple.

THEIR INSPIRATION
We always knew we wanted to get married and wanted it to be intimate. We were inspired by that and making sure to set the romantic intimate mood. We both have very modern tastes and The Bond was the perfect canvas for that. That place was incredible to use and gave us all the romantic intimate feels. Our colors were pine, cream, blush, and gold details--I love the color contrast of dark vs. light. Tons of candles were added and gave the perfect touch. Having gone through our wedding day now and looking back, it was truly the perfect blend between sharing our love story to how we were able to incorporate some Chinese traditions.

THEIR FAVORITE PART
Both of our favorite parts was the reception and really being able to enjoy dancing with our friends for a solid 2 hours. We had spent months planning our wedding and being able to enjoy it right there with our guests was the cherry on top.
THEIR ADVICE
1. Plan around what you both want to happen/include for your wedding day. Those details make the wedding yours and don’t focus on what you think needs to be included because everyone else is doing it or including it.
2. Soak in as much as you can on the wedding day, plan ahead on who does what, and send out details. The day flies and before you know it’s over so being present is key!
3. Invest in a photographer and videographer. They really are the last lingering things from the wedding that just bring you back to the day.
