Mitchell and I met as freshman at Shippensburg University in 2010. Mitchell is my best friend and the love of my life. We have spent the last eleven years growing together and overcoming obstacles that I never imagined possible. As we both came from different cultural backgrounds, I was nervous to introduce Mitchell to my family. To my surprise, my family embraced him with open arms and hearts. I always wanted to have my own "Big Fat Indian Wedding" in India, but due to the struggles that came with COVID, all of that seemed like a distant dream. Mitchell and I decided we would have a Hindu ceremony wedding in the States, where most of our friends and family would be able to attend. Our first venue we saw was Lauxmont Farms. As I walked through the Rotunda and Japanese Gardens, a vision came into my mind of how I could incorporate all the things I have always wanted at my wedding. Lauxmont farms was the first and last venue we saw. After that, everything became apparent as we planned the wedding. We picked vendors that could bring my vision to reality, and let me tell you, they did just that! Our wedding was everything I ever imagined and more. I look forward to my happily ever after with my person.
