The Theme: Formal promenades led to a stand of dreamy evergreens and a stone altar where a tiny, lacy, winged fairy held court. The enchanted forest glowed with candles and fairy lights; inside, tables held candles nestled in greenery with touches of pretty blush pink. Outside and in, woodsy florals set the tone, with anemone, astilbe, astrantia, scabiosa pods, and umbrella ferns. Bridal bouquet and bouts were exquisite. The details: Moss reigned, with a moss chair and photo backdrop made by Amanda’s mother. Guests signed a handmade quilt and sang, by tables, to get the couple to kiss. A motif of birds and bird cages threaded throughout. The threads: An A-line silhouette bridal gown with delicate straps covered in tulle had “just the right amount of sparkle.” Ethereal, with a flower crown for a veil, it was full-skirted, accessorized with rose gold, and paired with pearly ballet flats with satin ribbons. The guys sported three-piece charcoal suits. The “best ma’am,” Bill’s sister, wore charcoal; the ’maids wore blush floor-length tulle. The proposal: Their families were late for the surprise, so Bill, a planner, tries to improvise: “Let’s look at the Christmas tree in the Square.” Amanda: “You don’t care about the Christmas tree.” Bill: “How much do you think those bulbs cost?” Amanda: “…?” The find: Taryn Blake Events. The tunes: A string quartet, live jazz trio, and Etta James added class (though the groom’s more of a techno guy).
