I’m officially behind the times.
I can’t use electronic to-do lists.
I’m pretty sure I’ve tried them all because I’ll use anything that has a gorgeous color scheme and the ability to indent individual tasks. And while there is nothing inherently wrong with online organizers – in fact, they’re likely far more efficient than their traditional pen-and-paper predecessors – there’s just something about the process of writing work down and then crossing each item off in the hours that follow that is irreplaceable for me.
So you can imagine my delight at finding this project, which combines all of the admirable qualities of to-do listing with the added bonus of tearing off multiple sticky notes at a time, all while simultaneously creating a colorful mini craft project.
Be still my heart.
Here’s what you’ll need to get started:
Scrapbook Paper Sticky Notes Markers & Pens
So, basically, make a quick trip to any craft store or raid your junk drawer. Either method works just fine. The assembly is equally stress-free:
Step 1:
Name the project, but don’t assign a time. For example, you may eventually want to assign Daily Goals for this week or for today instead of for this month, as shown. (That’s the beauty of the sticky note!)
Step 2:
Divide one standard pack of notes into the desired number needed for your project. I chose five weekday spaces for the Recipe List with a sixth space leftover for the timing in the title, but I also could have split the stack into eight parts to accommodate a full week plus the timing in the title.
Step 3:
Plan away! The sky is the limit here: you could do a daily chore list, a monthly book list, a seasonal restaurant list, anything that suits your needs.
And in the end, you can cross them off or tear them off…or both.
(I’d say both. It’s so gratifying.)
