Regardless of what is trending each season, there are always items that I consider to be staples for the season. I have a few “must haves,” that to me are timeless pieces that withstand all of the ever-changing trends.
These items are my go-to pieces each spring, and I carry them into the summer as well. I can incorporate them into different looks, whether it is errand running or family outings.
Denim jackets have been a longtime favorite of mine. It is so easy to toss on over a dress or a t-shirt; functional enough to keep you warm on chilly spring days, but still stylish. I added the denim moto jacket to my wardrobe last summer. It gives the traditional jacket a modern twist.

Sneakers, particularly slip on sneakers, are one of my favorites. They give your feet a breather from heels, or even flat, thin sandals that don't give you support you need. Plus, they give a stylish kick (no pun intended!) to your casual look. I love pairing them with comfortable boyfriend jeans.

Scarves are a classic staple. A lightweight, printed scarf is something I can't say no to, and my scarf collection proves it. It is such an inexpensive way to add to your closet. I particularly love to wear them with a t-shirt and a blazer. With bright colors and floral patterns, it's perfect for spring.

Hats are one of my favorite accessories when the weather warms up. With two children, I don't always get a long time to get ready. Those are the days I toss on a cute, patterned baseball cap or a fedora to cover my bedhead or in-need-of-a-wash hair. It gives me a pulled together look, rather than the look that I only had 10 minutes to get ready.
What I love about these spring essentials is that they won't break the bank, and they are something that can last season after season, trend after trend. Plus, they are all so versatile. They're easy to incorporate into your wardrobe and everyday look.
