Women in Math and Science
Dr. Lisa Porter is a professor of Material Science and Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. Porter's professional honors include a National Science Foundation Career Award, the Philbrook Prize in Engineering from Carnegie Mellon and a Visiting Professorship awarded by the Swedish Research Council. Her research focuses on fabrication, processing and characterization of electronic materials including wide band-gap semiconductors, nanotubes and nanowire based transparent conductors, organic semiconducting polymers and 2D semiconducting films.
The lecture will be held in the Student Memorial Center Multi-purpose Room.
