‘The Music of Elton John’ brings to life the songs of one of this century's greatest pop pianists with theatrical flair. With a cast of around twenty performers, the show promises a refined but energetic exploration of Elton

John's gorgeous musical craftsmanship. ‘It’s early summer and nothing beats some fun tunes to make you smile” says Producing Director, Mitchell M. Nugent. ‘With this concert, audiences will hear their favorite tunes sung by a cast of professional theatre and pop vocalists from New York City to the region’s finest talent. They will knock your socks off. It doesn’t get more fun or fresh than this.”

Angela Birchett, national tour leading performer from Hairspray, joins the leading vocalists alongside Jay Poff (Emcee, Cabaret), Zach Blessing (Driving Vegas band), David Michael Felty (Jan Valjean, National Tour of

Les Miserables), Joshua Keefer (Joseph, Sight & Sound Theatres). The professional band is led by Andrew Roberts (Music Director at American Music Theatre).

Songs in ‘The Music of Elton John’ include familiar tunes such as ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road,’ ‘Your Song,’ and ‘Bennie & The Jets.’ The show will be well mixed with theatrical pieces like ‘Written in the Stars,’ ‘Circle of Life’ and ‘Strongest Suit.’

performing venue since January of 2011. ‘The Music of Elton John’ will play in the Steinman Hall concert space at the Ware Center, which boasts world class acoustics and an intimate 360 seats. ‘Elton’ plays two consecutive

Sundays, June 3 and 10 at 7pm.
