Paste Paper Painting, aka “Adult Finger-Painting,” will give you a use for all those gadgets accumulating in your junk drawer. You’ll be amazed at the sophisticated graphic images you can create by coating a dampened sheet of paper with colored paste and then drawing various tools through it.
Stamping onto paste-covered sheets will increase your repertoire of designs. We’ll go beyond the basics by creating under paintings for double-image work and exploring how to use brayers (which are like mini, rubber rolling pins) to add texture and a relief pattern to papers. You’ll learn how to make historic patterns and more relaxed contemporary designs to use on books, cards, collages, and other paper art projects.
