A woman in transition from a troubled past can face insurmountable challenges on her way to achieving her dreams. Jail time, loss of custody battles, and abusive relationships can instill in a dynamic, driven woman the idea that she does not deserve to succeed. For a woman like this, access makes all the difference: access to career development resources and tools, a compassionate network of others like her, and the means to demonstrate her true worth to the world. Since 2007, Dress for Success South Central PA has provided over 5,000 women with access to what they need to attain self-sufficiency. It is these women that give Dress for Success South Central PA cause for celebration, and it is on Friday, October 19, 2012, at the Harrisburg Hilton Hotel Grand Ballroom, that our sixth annual Gala, “a Night to Treasure,” will take place.
A silent auction will enliven the red carpet greeting and cocktail reception with anticipation. Dinner will honor the graduates and mentors who participated in this year’s Pathways to Success program and culminate in a live auction. But the exhilaration will not have peaked yet, because casino tables, amazing prizes, and a night of dancing with a live DJ still lies ahead! RSVP by October 15!
