Arizona House Bill 2281: Fight to Save Ethnic Studies

On May 11, 2010, HB 2281 was passed in Arizona prohibiting the teaching of ethnic studies courses to students in Tucson’s K-12 education system. As part of the “Save Ethnic Studies” college tour, Rene Martinez, a teacher at Cholla High School in Arizona will speak about the current lawsuit against the state’s Board of Education and the impact and importance of the ethnic studies program.
