Noah and I met at Winthrop University, back in 2007. I saw him across a crowded auditorium and was immediately interested, even though I had no idea who he was. We became friends and stayed friends for years. We both were in and out of relationships and eventually decided to take a shot at dating in 2012. We always envisioned having a small and intimate wedding with our friends and family. With all of the uncertainty over the past couple of years, we were eventually married in a small 18th century barn on a beautiful autumn evening. We’re thankful that unlike some couples, we never had to reschedule our wedding. The date we initially chose was the day we got married. We did end up switching venues due to the indoor restrictions continuing to change. Like many COVID weddings our initial vision wasn’t the wedding that we ended up having. Our first venue was a large industrial space, and our wedding venue was an old tobacco barn. We were so thankful that even though the restrictions kept changing daily, we were able to get married. Overall, our wedding turned into something more beautiful than I ever could have imagined. We had the dream team of vendors who were extremely flexible and completely understood the vibe we were going for. We’re also incredibly thankful to our family and friends who traveled from across the country during the pandemic to end our day!
