JANUARY 16, 2021

Nick and I met at York College of Pennsylvania during a hand lettering class. We had our first date on a crisp November day where we got Starbucks and watched the sunset at Lake Redman. Then Nick asked me to start dating him right after Christmas by getting us Starbucks coffees and writing me a note about how much I meant to him, at the end of which he told me to look under my coffee sleeve. “Will you be my girlfriend?” was written on a piece of tracing paper that was taped on the inside of my coffee sleeve. This was so special to our relationship since tracing paper is something we commonly use in hand lettering, and we always write notes back and forth to each other. He proposed about 2 years later in September 2019 while watching the sunset at a spot that overlooked the Susquehanna River and the place where he asked me to be his girlfriend. It was this connection and meaning to the holiday and winter season that made it perfect for us to have a winter wonderland wedding. We wanted our future to be surrounded by the same feelings that we had that sparked our relationship, and what better place than inside our very own snow globe?
