THE LOVE STORY
Andrew and I went to grade school together and were in the same friend group. We went to college and afterwards were both living in Philadelphia separately with our own dogs, Neeko and Rambo. One day, we decided to meet at a dog park and ended up spending the whole day together! We finished the night at Morgan's Pier with drinks and dinner. We were together for three years before Andrew orchestrated a scavenger hunt through our favorite places in Old City that, of course, ended at the one and only, Morgan's Pier, where he was waiting to ask me to marry him.

THE INSPIRATION
Andrew and I are very adventurous and outdoorsy people. We love to camp and hike with our three dogs (Rambo, Neeko, and new puppy Winnie). I wanted our wedding to be representative of our relationship and lifestyle. I tried to revolve all aspects around a very earthy, natural, and woodsy fairytale-like vibe—almost like A Midsummer Night’s Eve. There were tons of candles, greenery, vintage books, and flowers that almost seemed to be growing out of the tables. We chose a barn in Lancaster with a beautiful property that included lots of trees, meadows/fields, and a pond. The colors I kept to a range of earth tones with different textures in the bridesmaids dresses and the boys wore simple tan suits. Even the guestbook was a record player where guests signed records from our favorite artists. My goal was just to be unique, genuine to our life together, and share a little piece of that with our guests.

THEIR FAVORITE PART
My favorite part of the wedding day was probably just finally making it to the day. We were a COVID wedding who had to cancel and change all but I believe one vendor, including the venue itself.

Other than that, I would say my favorite part of the day was reading the vows Andrew and I had written to one another. I am not a great public speaker and would be a blubbering mess if I had to read them in front of everyone. So we chose to do a little more intimate moment where we read them in a private room with just the videographer recording the moment.

I would have to say my favorite part of the day was dancing with my new wife for the first time. We picked Millionaire by Chris Stapleton. In my opinion I think the song perfectly depicts how we feel about each other, which makes that moment all that more special.

THEIR ADVICE
There are so many things that come to mind. One is classic, the day flies by so don’t forget to enjoy yourself. However, my best advice is to take a deep breath and remember that nothing can truly go wrong that day if you are marrying your best friend and the love of your life. If you remember that then no matter what happens, it will still be the best day of your new life together.
