Chicory and Steve met at church in May 2016 and quickly became friends. Steve had to resort to not only plan B to propose, but a quick plan D. They danced around the living room to “I Will Wait for You There” by Phil Wickham (which was also their first dance at the wedding). When the song was over, Steve got down on one knee and proposed. Chicory wanted a touch in their wedding that was unique to them. Her cousin, Ashley Arbaiza, is an artist, and she painted a piece that incorporated their favorite places around Lancaster. They wanted their wedding to feel classy and elegant, so they chose blues, pinks, and purples as their colors. The bridesmaids’ dresses were navy and the groomsmen’s ties were lavender. Chicory wanted a long sleeved dress because she loved the look. She wanted something fitted and slimming. She tried on the first one the ladies at In White picked and loved it. She loved the simplicity of the front and the glitz of the beautiful back. Steve has lived in multiple different places, and Chicory has friends and family in other places, too. They loved having all of the friends and family in one place to celebrate with them and dancing with their guests to their live band. They honeymooned at the Iberostar Grand Paraiso in Riviera Maya, Mexico.
