‘Tis the season for... fashion! This fall, local businesses and charities hosted fashion shows to showcase some of the seasons most stylish looks, all while working for a greater cause. Susquehanna Style continues to be a proud media sponsor of all of these events.
Here are the top 10 trends we saw on the runways of the Susquehanna Valley in 2014:

The third annual Boutique Week kicked things off on September 5 at York Central Market. Models took to the streets, displaying a variety of looks from local boutiques such as Arthur & Daughters, Cherie Anne Designs, Elizabeth & West Fashion House, Indigo Bleu, Ironic, Kimman’s, KrysLn’s Bridal Boutique, My Girlfriend’s Wardrobe, Redeux, Sweet Melissa’s Dream, and the Watchmaker’s Daughter. Other various vendors participated in the event, including Cental Market of York, Lotus Moon Yoga, Nuts About Granola, United Way of York County, White Rose Bar & Grill, and York County Heritage Trust.
The following week, the YWCA Greater Harrisburg held their tenth annual fashion show at the Radisson Harrisburg Hotel on October 7. Vendors included Maggie Adams, The Plum, Higashi Jewelry & Eyewear, Presence, Leaf of Eve, Creative Elegance, Baby Bug and Me, Sassy, and Tara’s Bridal. All proceeds were donated to The Violence Intervention and Prevention programs that provide legal assistance, shelter, counseling, and support for those in need.
Another event was hosted by The I.O. Silver Foundation at Hotel Hershey on October 10. All funds raised were donated to Penn State Hershey Heart & Vascular Institute. Head-turning fashion was provided by Annabel’s, K. Marie & Company, Maggie Adams, The Plum, Presence, Me Too Boutique, Muscalus Furs and Bill Maloney Men’s Wear & Tailor Shop.
Last, but not least, was the seventeenth annual Pinnacle Chic PHantastic Fashion Show and Luncheon held on October 30 at the Sheraton of Harrisburg. Saks Fifth Avenue provided all outfits featured on the runway. All proceeds went towards benefiting the Breast Cancer Center in the Ortenzio Cancer Center at Pinnacle Health.
