Remember the 90’s? All of our now embarrassing hair-do’s and catch-phrases? It was the best and worst of times. I remember when the art of Feng Shui became this elite but trendy thing to apply to your recently self-assembled IKEA home furniture. Now that I’m a professional organizer, I can see that the principles of feng shui are more than just a trend. It’s a simple shift in your mindset that exudes its way through your home.
Its principle of “Commanding Position” is one of the fundamental basics in feng shui and still rings true today. It stresses the importance of the positioning of your bed (which represents you/relationships), your kitchen (represents your wealth and resources), and your desk/home office (represents your career and life’s path). Long story short, if these spaces get cluttered, so will those aspects of your life. Check in. Does that ring true for you?
