Dr. Danielle B. Cross joined Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health as stroke medical director in August 2021. A fellowship-trained neurologist, Dr. Cross oversees the stroke program at Lancaster General Hospital, which is the only hospital in Lancaster County to perform mechanical thrombectomy, an advanced stroke procedure.
Dr. Cross cares primarily for patients in the hospital, responds to stroke alerts and consult requests related to vascular neurology, and advises on the treatment of TIAs, ischemic strokes, hemorrhagic strokes, and ruptured aneurysms.
A native of North Carolina, Dr. Cross graduated from the Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania, performed her residency at NYU Medical Center, and completed a vascular neurology fellowship at University of California San Francisco.
She has co-authored several articles on topics in neurology and stroke.
“I am passionate about bringing the most advanced stroke treatments to my patients to avoid permanent injury and improve their quality of life,” says Dr. Cross.
