“Sophia Loren is my ‘special needs’ dog. When we got her, she had so many health issues. I was then the special education nurse for the School District of Lancaster, and one of the teachers said, ‘well, of course you got a special needs dog! You’re the special needs nurse.’’’
“I approach life in an ‘enjoy everything and do what makes you happy’ way. I know how hard it is to find happiness in life, so once you find it you should hold onto it. I’m a strong believer in people being able to love whomever they want. If you’re lucky enough to find love and happiness in this life, no one should judge you. Just be happy for you.”
“I am a ‘retired punk rock girl’, so that sums up my fashion sense. Fun, loud prints; things that are comfortable; and lots of funky shoes and accessories. But at home, I am very French shabby chic. Lots of muted lilacs and grays and silvers, distressed items and tufting on everything. We also love [local artists] Christiane David and Freiman Stoltzfus and feel very lucky to have a few original paintings from them both’’
