New Hope through NuLife
The mission of NuLife—to create jobs and business development opportunities through training in upcycled alternatives to clothing, jewelry and décor—is being carried out through the help of Nimble Thimble. Nimble Thimble, a sewing shop in downtown Lancaster, has partnered with NuLife, a not-for-profit organization teaching at-risk women to sew, to provide a new generation with the tools to sew clothing, accessories and household goods. Scrap fabrics from Nimble Thimble are donated to NuLife to provide women with the material needed for various sewing projects.

An old feed mill and grain elevator is the new aesthetic for a recently renovated whiskey distillery and tasting room in Lititz. Stoll & Wolfe Distillery is bringing the historic taste of Pennsylvania whiskey back to Lancaster County. The original Bomberger’s Distillery dates back to 1753 and is the nation’s oldest distillery, representing the transformation from agricultural enterprise to large-scale industry as it became the world’s largest producer of consumer whiskey. Today’s blends of Stoll & Wolfe whiskey represent a collaboration of generations and the preservation of the future legacy of PA craft whiskey.
