In 2025, HARTZ Physical Therapy will celebrate 25 years of serving the Lancaster community. To mark this milestone, the company is launching a major initiative to give back in a big way: throughout the year, 25 local charities will receive grants, totaling up to $50,000 in donations.
As part of the celebration, 24 Lancaster County charities will each receive a $2,500 grant, while one standout organization will be chosen to receive the full proceeds from the annual Fall Blast 5K & Kids Color Run, estimated at $25,000!
“It’s incredible to think about how far we’ve come since opening HARTZ Physical Therapy with just one employee and a single clinic in downtown Lititz,” said Brian Hartz, DPT, MPT, OCS, CSCS, CEO and founder of HARTZ Physical Therapy. “Over the years, we’ve grown slowly and thoughtfully, always prioritizing the development of our team and our patient-centered approach. Today, we are proud to have six clinics and 45 employees, but we remain a locally-owned small business that values patient care, customer service, and community involvement above all else.”
Hartz added, “From the beginning, giving back to our community has been a core value. One of the things I’m most proud of is the creation of the HARTZ Physical Therapy Charitable Organization, which has allowed us to partner with and support local charities making a real difference here in Lancaster County.”
As part of the 25th anniversary celebration, HARTZ Physical Therapy is inviting the community to help choose which local organizations will receive grants. Each month in 2025, four charities will be eligible for a $2,500 donation, with the community — including HARTZ staff, patients, and social media followers — helping to select the winners through online voting. If a charity is not selected in a given month, it will be returned to the pool for a second chance at receiving a grant.
How to Nominate a Charity:
HARTZ Physical Therapy is encouraging community members to nominate their favorite charity for consideration via the website at https://www.hartzpt.com/community/25th-anniversary/. Nominations for the $25,000 Fall Blast beneficiary must be submitted by January 10, 2025.
The lucky recipient of the Fall Blast proceeds will be chosen from among the monthly $2,500 grant nominees. The Fall Blast Director and Committee will review the candidates and select three finalists, who will be asked to submit a detailed application, including financial information. The finalists will then present to the HARTZ Physical Therapy staff on Friday, February 7, 2025, at which point the winner will be selected.
“We’re excited to celebrate this special year by supporting the local organizations that do so much for our community,” said Hartz. “We can’t wait to see the impact these donations will have throughout Lancaster County.”
This initiative is a heartfelt way for HARTZ Physical Therapy to give back to the community that has supported the business for the past quarter century, reaffirming their ongoing commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of local residents.
