Happy January! We’re thrilled to ring in the new year with a new issue—our highly anticipated 2025 wedding issue. Whether you’re a bride-to-be, in a bridal party, a guest attending someone’s big day or you’re just looking for some inspiration and ideas to add to your own wedding Pinterest board, get ready to find everything you need and fall in love with this issue.
Step into six weddings and feel like a part of each fairytale on page 22. You’ll surely feel inspired after reading about each local couple’s love story as well as learning the significance behind their personal details like including dogs in the celebration, special traditions such as getting ready side by side before walking down the aisle and unique touches including wearing cowboy hats to pay homage to one couple’s current home and their desert chic theme.
Incorporating organic and original elements are especially trendy this year in the wedding world (though this is truly a timeless trend), so turn to page 35 to get even more inspiration for how to make your day feel like yours. Our team had the pleasure of partnering with The JDK Group and several wedding vendors to organize a styled shoot with the goal of showing off details beaming with boldness, class and most importantly, authenticity.
We can all agree that food is another important detail when planning a wedding (and really, any occasion), so we invite you to try the delicious D-I-Y appetizers, found on page 19, to serve at your wedding or even make for a friend. These recipes are guaranteed to be flavorful, memorable and budget-friendly.
For more deliciousness, flip to page 15 to read about Plant Box Co. Cafe. Plant Box Co., currently in Manchester (and winner of Best Atmosphere for our Best of York and Adams County 2024), recently opened their doors in downtown York. The new location is serving up coffee, crepes and plants—of course! They also offer floral services for weddings and events and are a vendor in one of this year’s featured weddings, found on page 26.
Lastly, let’s not forget about the behind-the-scenes details, too, on wedding day. This includes self-care and your own wellbeing. Emotions fluctuate and stress is high leading up to—and during—the occasion, so turn to page 13 to get some helpful tips and advice on how to take care of yourself and your loved ones to ensure your day runs smoothly and is unforgettable.
We wish you a healthy and happy New Year, and we hope this year for you (wedding or not) is full of inspiring moments, overwhelming love and fulfilling growth. We hope you find the courage to be your most authentic self this year by—just like a wedding—adding your own personal touches, special traditions and original flair to your life. Being yourself starts with the details. It’s all in the details.
