It’s that exciting and anticipated time of year again when our Best Of campaign is in full swing! We previously celebrated the Best Of Dauphin and Cumberland Counties, Lancaster and Lebanon Counties, and now, it’s time for this year’s last Best Of issue: Best Of York and Adams Counties!
We’d like to begin by taking a moment to thank YOU, the reader, for your participation in voting for the best businesses and professionals in the York and Adams regions. These counties encompass a lot of residents and establishments—and we had a LOT of votes—so being recognized as Best Of in the region speaks volumes to the caliber of this year’s winners.
A big thank-you also goes out to all of the businesses in York and Adams counties. Each of you contribute to the culture and connectivity in our communities. Whether it’s a product or service you offer, we so very much appreciate all you provide for your (and our) communities! And as a local lifestyle magazine, we orchestrate this campaign to help support you. Now, the moment you’ve been waiting for... turn to page 38 to see our Best Of York and Adams Counties 2024 winners.
But don’t close the magazine just yet! There’s even more to learn about and love in this issue. August is also our Cutest Pets issue—and we have a LOT of “purrfect” furry friends all around the Valley.
On page 25, you’ll find this year’s winners, as voted by the readers, of the Cutest Pets Contest. We’d like to thank and recognize all of the submissions we received this year. Each and every pet was too cute— we wish we could feature them all!
For more animal-lover content, flip to page 48 to learn about five ways to support your local animal rescue or shelter. There’s lots of ways to help local animals besides adopting or donating money, so check it out! On page 8, you’ll find pet-friendly establishments around the Susquehanna Valley serving good food and good memories for you and your furry friends.
August is also National Peach Month, how delicious! Recreate the recipes starting on page 21 that are truly just peachy. Looking to explore more plant-based options as summer closes? Try York’s The Sweet Botanist, featured on page 18, for beautiful and health-conscious botanical cakes, pastries and treats.
As the summer days begin to dwindle away, we hope you take some time this month to check out the Best Of winners, treat yourself to something delicious and show some extra love to your own cute pets.
