I love the idea of self-reflection and its importance for growth. This imagery of this person tucked away in an enclosed crumbling brick space, just taking a moment to absorb who they are, felt really fitting. I’ve been a working artist in York city for over 10 years now and it’s an amazing community. We really do support each other and build each other up to participate. It’s compelling to see the talent come from this area.
