What pairs better with local beer in a bustling midtown district, than tacos and tex-mex? Nearly nothing which is why we think it’s the perfect pairing and the reason for the partnership between La Catrina and Zeroday Brewing Company. La Catrina is the onsite, full service, tex-mex restaurant within Zeroday Brewing Company’s new taproom, located at 925 North Second Street in midtown Harrisburg. We opened in March of 2021, and are proud to be entering our second year.
Our interior space is a treat in and of itself. The combined talents of Chris Dawson Architect, Best Space Design, and Born Creative brought the vision to life. Guests are invited to enjoy cozy seating areas with fireplaces and couches, traditional tables for dining, perhaps the longest bar in Harrisburg, a private event space, and a beautiful courtyard that boasts a fire pit, casual seating, and a custom mural inspired by the Appalachian Trail.
La Catrina serves scratch fare, with selections like bountiful nachos, plentiful enchiladas, sizzling fajitas, and of course a selection of creative tacos including a fully vegan option of roasted cauliflower with a smoked cashew salsa. Sunday morning we open our doors for brunch with a full menu offering breakfast fajitas, huevos rancheros, carnitas eggs benedict, and waffles-just to name a few. We even have a menu for the kiddos, and welcome you to enjoy our happy hour menu at the bar and follow our Instagram @lacatrina_717 for specials and updates.
