Skill Level: Intermediate NOTE: To get the most from this class, it is highlyrecommended that you either take the introductory level class or that you understand exposure and the use of aperture, shutter speedand ISO. Making digital photographs requires basic knowledge of technology and an ability to make aesthetic, conceptual and technical decisions. This class incorporates the use of software and teaches students to make informed choices while creating photographs from the exposures they shoot. Students learn to perform basic and intermediate level photo editing using popular software, and to make color and black and white digital photographs for print and for web use. In addition to basic photographic editing, Goldbeck goes over how to use design elements and creative ideas to make photographs and digital images that stand out from the crowd. Biography: A former national and state award-winning photojournalist, Christine Goldbeckholds a Master of Fine Arts-Interdisciplinary Arts (MFA-IA) from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT. She has exhibited her work widely, in solo shows, premier fine craft fairs, and in group shows and nontraditional locations. Christine owns Arts on Union, a gallery and design studio in Middletown, PA., where she hosts guest artists and teaches.
