“Jack,” as Lewis was known to his friends, died over 50 years ago yet most of his books continue to enjoy considerable success, especially his beloved Chronicles of Narnia children’s series. Despite becoming a legend in his own lifetime, he lived a simple life in a modest home on the outskirts of Oxford, England. A tutor at Magdalene College Oxford and later Professor of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Cambridge, Lewis wrote his books in his “spare time.” The sheer volume and quality of his output over such a wide range of subjects revealed a man of broad and immense intellectual standing.
Come and learn more about the man himself – from childhood to adulthood and in between, and find out what inspired him to write the magnitude of scholarly, theological, and fiction work that he did.
