Local Love: Tyler and Lauren

Their Love Story

It was 2018 when Lauren and Tyler’s love story first began. Just two single twenty-somethings who happened to go on a "casual" dinner date that lasted 6+ hours.

After discovering their mutual love for their faith, travel, and a good glass of wine, it wasn’t long before Lauren and Tyler began dating.

Four years later, they currently live with their cute little pup, Caro, in the hustle and bustle of Baltimore City. After traveling to Deep Creek together for a long weekend, Tyler finally popped the question surrounded by both of their families – and Lauren said yes!

Fast forward another two years, moving in together, and living through a worldwide pandemic, we made it to our wedding day! We got married on September 17, 2022 at Historic Ashland in Wrightsville, PA. We both originally grew up in Pennsylvania, so it was nice to be able tie our childhood roots back to our special day. Our wedding was complete with tons of belly laughs, so much love from all of our friends and family, and a special aisle release by our dog, Caroline. We ended the night with a final dance to Sweet Caroline in remembrance of my dad, and a sparkler send off. It truly was one of the best days of our lives, and worth the wait!

Their Inspiration

Our main inspiration for the wedding all sparked from the velvet burgundy bridesmaid dresses from Revelry! Tyler and I both loved the moody vibe of the velvet color, and wanted to add a modern twist with accents of blush, white, gold, and tons of greenery.

Their Advice

For future couples getting married, my biggest advice to you is to always remember that at the end of the day, all that matters is you and your person. Planning a wedding can be stressful, and it's easy to get caught up in all of the little details. In times when it can feel overwhelming, try your best to always keep your relationship and love at the forefront. After all, it's a pretty amazing feeling getting to say I do to the love of your life :)
