High school sweethearts, Kathleen and Nick, tied the knot in an elegant winter fashion surrounded by loving family and friends. They wanted their wedding to be a tru celebration of their love.
Here’s Kathleen and Nick to tell you all about their love story and special day.

THEIR LOVE STORY
We first met at St. Joseph elementary school in York, PA around the year 2001. Nick and my brother Luke established their friendship in kindergarten. Only being 15 months apart, I often spent time hanging around my brother and his friends. Nick, (although he doesn't like to admit it) always paid special attention to "Luke's little sister." We always shared a special friendship bond, often joking around together as children, but it wasn't until our high school years that Nick finally mustered up the courage to make his move. We began dating in 2010, made it through 5 years of long distance, and finally ended up together in Denver, CO in 2018. Nick proposed in the same place he asked me to be his girlfriend in 2010.

THEIR INSPIRATION
A Day of pure Celebration!! Nick and I are from the same hometown. We grew up with the same group of friends, and our families have always been very close. Being together for so long, our wedding day was highly anticipated from everyone in our little community. We felt that our wedding was a celebration of us, and everyone that helped us get to that day. We didn't get to fall in love by accident, we had people supporting us every step of the way. We wanted our wedding to provide an opportunity for people to celebrate love; our love, the love between family and friends, and the love that a community can share.

THEIR FAVORITE PART
Our wedding ceremony. It really was absolutely gorgeous. Growing up Catholic, being married in the Catholic Church was important to us both. The priest who married us, knew us both from high school and made the ceremony very personal. We were married 12/28, just a few days after Christmas. The Christmas decorations, the seasonal music, everything made the ceremony so beautiful.
THEIR ADVICE
Prioritize what is important to you. We asked ourselves, what is the feeling we want to have when we think back to our wedding? For Nick and I, we wanted to remember the opportunity to share our happiness with the people we love the most. There is a famous quote from Maya Angelou "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." We wanted to focus on our feelings for each other, and the feelings of our guests. People will forget what the flowers looked like, what color your bridesmaids dresses were, or what your signature cocktail was, but people will remember the opportunity they had to share in laughter, dancing, and the things that make people feel good!! We wanted our guests to feel that they were appreciated for joining in our celebration. What better way to ensure your guests have fun than a LIVE 12-piece band. People did not leave the dance floor.
The other piece of advice is this- stay together! In such a hectic celebration, it is easy to get separated from each other. Nick and I made it a priority to stay together the whole night. We wanted to share everything together!
