Their Love Story

We grew up six blocks away from each other in Fountain Hill, PA. We went to the same elementary school and high school, but it was not until we both graduated from college that we became close friends and eventually started dating. We made it through a few years of long-distance. In 2016, Bryan lived in DC while I lived in Bethlehem, PA and San Francisco, CA. In 2017, Bryan moved to Philly to be closer to me while I was living in Reading, PA. In 2018, Bryan finally made the move to Reading. In 2019, we bought our first house together in West Reading, where we live today with our dog, Stevie.

Their Inspiration

We fell in love with Excelsior just from the pictures. We wanted a wedding venue with natural beauty, indoor + outdoor space, and convenient location. The five different spaces (3 inside and 2 outside) at Excelsior and location in Downtown Lancaster was perfect for what we wanted.

Blue/green color scheme
Bridesmaid dresses: mix of solid ("Silver Sage") and floral ("Sage I Do")
Bride: fit and flare dress (lace and crepe) with gold jewelry
Groom: Navy blue tux with black lapel/Groomsmen and Dads: Black tuxes
MOB and MOG: Navy blue
Flowers: White with greenery and pops of blue/peach
Tables: Mix of round and long with huge head table including bridal party and their significant others–also mix of high and low floral arrangements at round tables and just greenery and long tables

Their Advice

Try to enjoy the planning and have fun with it. It is easy to get stressed and caught up in the little things but you have to remind yourself what it's truly about–marrying your best friend and starting your life together. Put your phone away and be present on your wedding day. Try to take take during the ceremony and reception to just look around and see all of your favorite people in the same place.
