Every season there are talks of trends, what is in, what is out. While I love to hear about what trends I should be adding to my closet, I always seem to forget what color is the “it” color for the coming season. You might be thinking “but I don’t want to buy a whole new wardrobe in one color!” No worries! There are easy, subtle ways to incorporate the hottest new color of the season.
This year, Pantone deemed Riverside the “it” color for fall. Pantone sees this shade of blue (as well as the other colors in their most recent palette) as a departure from the typical fall shades. I personally think a shade of blue for the fall is a breath of fresh air!

An easy top like this satin blouse is a great piece for the fall simply because you can layer it easily. While it is a tad darker than Riverside, it is still in the same family. No need to worry, you’ll still be in style!
A scarf is one of my favorite things to add to my closet because it can be the most inexpensive way to change your whole look. The deep blue can certainly match the mood of fall.
Not a huge fan of the shade but still want to be on trend? Something small like a luggage tag is the way to go. Plus, your luggage will be easy to spot!

You really can’t go wrong with an oversized tote. Long after Riverside is no longer the color of the season, you can still be rocking this, because totes never go out of style, no matter what the color!
Lastly, the most subtle way to wear the it color? Nail polish! With so many shades of blue to choose from, you are bound to find one that suits you!
