Whether you travel from house to house on Christmas day or stay at home, these tips are so basic that they will have you looking stylish while dressing in the Christmas spirit.

Waking up on Christmas morning can be hectic. Your kids are excited to open their presents and perhaps already began before you can get out of bed, or you need to be at your family members’ house by a certain time. Getting ready can be a challenge and may leave you with limited minutes. If you are fashionably impaired or not feeling like you want to put any effort into your look, these three little tweaks will help you get ready and add interest to your outfit while not sacrificing your comfort.
1. SWEATER
Wear a comfortable sweater. Weather it’s oversized or formfitting, pick something that you will be comfortable in all day. If you are feeling festive, wear a bright red or green sweater. Keep it subtle (leaving the ugly Christmas sweater at home) yet fashionable.

2. JEANS
Choose either jeans or stretchy pants since the chances of sitting on the floor opening presents (or a combo of crouching down helping your kids), and traveling in the car may be pretty high. When it comes to your choice of pants, comfort is the way to go.

3. FLATS
Save the stilettos for nighttime if you go out for a fancy Christmas Eve or Christmas night dinner. Make it easy on yourself and stick to flats. Play it up with color and/or adding interest with details (example: bows, cut-outs, bright red).

SCARF
A scarf is a great way to add contrast to your outfit.
HAIR
Try a “brush and go” look which is very Parisian and has an effortless look, or try a cute braid or ponytail.
MAKE UP
For a five minute or less make up routine, throw on mascara, blush, and a bright red lipstick.
