Now that the temperature has dropped and pumpkin spice lattes are officially out, it’s time to start layering your outfits with cozy fall pieces. Layering creates many different looks, which will keep you looking stylish while staying warm. Here are three tips on how to layer for fall.
1. BEGIN WITH COLOR
Embrace the colors of Mother Nature’s fall foliage and stick to the neutrals. When picking out an outfit, start with a monochromatic base layer and build with a cardigan, jacket, hat, etc.
2. THREE LAYER LIMIT
By limiting your layers to three, it keeps your look balanced and not too over the top. (Example: sweater, scarf, hat OR scarf, jacket, hat.)
3. PROPORTIONS
Start with form fitting clothes as your base, then layer with cozy sweaters, cardigans, jackets and scarfs.
You can never go wrong with the staple pieces in neutral/fall colors….
