Violence Against Women
On Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 6-9 p.m., Nick Miron, Racial & Gender Equality Advocate YWCA Lancaster will hold a workshop on on the endemic levels of violence that women experience in the US and around the world, its causes, its pervasiveness, as well as its prevention. Looking beyond the statistics and data, participants will engage in a variety of media and experiential activities to gain insight into the role privilege and oppression play in violence, and the manifestations of sexism, the root cause of violence against women, in the media, education, government and more.
Event will be held in Room 24 of the Student Memorial Center.
Price: Tickets cost $25 for the general public.
