1. Ollie
Breed: Domestic Shorthair City: Millersville My Human: Linda Fritsch
Hi friends! My name is Ollie, and I’m your typical sweet orange cat who loves playing, eating and being a little—or, some days, very— mischievous. I was rescued from a local shelter and share a home with my adopted sister, Sophie. Sophie is one of my best friends, and we love playing together. When I’m not playing, I love head scratches, sleeping and eating anything with tuna that I can get my paws on. I’ve also nurtured hundreds of foster kitties that have lived in my home over the years. As a rescue cat myself (and one of the cutest pets, so you have to listen to me), I want to tell everyone to go to your local shelters and give animals a second chance at a forever home! You may just adopt next year’s winner of the Cutest Pet Contest!
2. Peanut Butter
Breed: Syrian Hamster City: Lancaster My Human: Nolan Hess
Hey there! I’m Peanut Butter, and I’m the coolest hamster you’ll ever meet. I live in a comfy two-story hamster mansion where I like to burrow deep in my bedding and sleep all day, then party all night upstairs on my wheel. The kids in my family love to build mazes for me, put me in my hamster ball and take me outside to watch me run and nibble on things in the grass. My guilty pleasure is carrots—I cannot resist a yummy, crunchy carrot! I also enjoy roaming the house in my hamster ball, stuffing treats in my mouth and chewing on whatever treat I can find.
3. Guillermo
Breed: Chihuahua City: Fairfield My Human: Jaime Buffington
Howdy! My name is Guillermo, and I’m living the good life with my mom, dad and older hooman brother, Hunter. I’m definitely Mom and Dad’s favorite child, though. I very much enjoy destroying my stuffies and mom’s couch when she’s not looking (I never liked that couch anyway) and taking walks with Mom. My most favorite thing to do, however, is riding on the boat and watching Mom and Dad fish on the Chesapeake Bay. You can say I definitely get around! And when Mom doesn’t catch me destroying the couch, then I get to do my other favorite thing: get a pup cup. Now that I’m one of the cutest pets in the Valley, I think I deserve some extra pup cups (and boat trips)!
4. Emmie
Breed: Chihuahua Mix City: Lititz My Human: Desiree and Chris Johnson
Hello! I’m Emmie, and I’m a Chihuahua mix with an adorable underbite and a love for licking faces and getting belly rubs! My daddy and mommy saw my underbite and just had to adopt me from Outcast Rescue in Lehigh Valley. I’m very loving and will shower you in kisses and lick your nose off if you let me! When the weather gets nice, I love to lie anywhere I can find a sun spot. I’m also employed as an office mascot—I get to go to work with my mommy every day! As you can tell from my photo, I don’t enjoy baths. But I do enjoy cheese and any other food my humans share with me.
5. Xena
Breed: Pittie Mix City: Hummelstown My Human: Eileen Baker, John Pulidore, Brady Baker
Hi! My name is Xena, and I am one happy gal! I have my daddy wrapped around my little paw. He gives me all the special treats, and I like to thank him by bursting into his room, barking in his face to wake him up and then going back to sleep. Mommy says I am the daughter she never had and buys me comfy, warm coats for winter and bathrobes for after tubby time. I love upside-down ear scratches, sleeping in my Baby Yoda bed and going for walks every night with my brother. I also like looking out my house’s windows and playing in my very own sand pit and pool. I’m so happy I found my forever home. Oh, and Mommy and Daddy, if you’re reading this, you forgot to give me a treat today. One peanut butter and honey biscuit, please!
6. Kevin
Breed: Pembroke Welsh Corgi City: Lititz My Human: Tori Hartman
Hey hey! My name is Kevin, and I’m one cute Pembroke Welsh corgi. I live in Lititz with my momma, and we love to visit our family and friends. I also love going for walks and really just enjoy being outside. Of course, nothing beats having a snack on the sofa, but my momma has to hoist me up because my tiny legs can’t make the jump. When I’m not on the sofa, I’m relaxing in my bay window and saying hello to all the neighbors who stop to see me. You can say I’m kind of the celebrity of the block—and now I’m about to be even more of a celebrity after this. Being so famous (and cute) is pretty tiring, though. I think I deserve some cuddles and my favorite treat, Rachael Ray Soup Bones, as a reward!
7. Ginny Pig
Breed: Abyssinian Guinea Pig City: Ephrata My Human: Elizabeth Stoltzfus
Hello there! My name is Ginny Pig, and I live with my two humans, two dog siblings, four cat siblings and fish sibling. Let’s just say I have a big family! My humans love to spoil me—and I like to think I’m the favorite sibling. I’m an Abyssinian guinea pig who loves all the attention my humans give me, including snuggling with my mom in the backyard when it’s nice outside. I also love snacking on fresh veggies, and my favorite snacks are orange bell peppers and cilantro. Yummy! I’m so excited to be voted one of the cutest pets this year!
8. Alf
Breed: Maltipoo City: Lancaster My Human: Kristen and Gary Welch
Hi! I’m Alf, and my family and I just moved to Lancaster from Baltimore in January 2024. I have loved every minute of exploring my new home, from going on daily walks with Going Mutts, to enjoying “sniffari” around my new backyard where there are bunnies and even some new baby geese to bark at, to playing with my two sisters and parents at the park. It has been quite the adventure! You may even hear me around the area—I like to bark, bark and bark some more any chance I get. My favorite treat is Greenies. Every night, like clockwork at 7:30 on the nose, I know it’s time for my daily Greenie!
9. Booker
Breed: Pit bull City: York My Human: Jessica Bolles
Hey! I’m Booker, and I live with my mom, who’s my best friend. She’s also my personal chef, chauffeur and massage therapist. We do everything together, so you could say we’re the pawfect pair. She says I am her shadow, and I have my eyes on her at all times. We like to spend a lot of time with my grammy and pop. They have the best backyard for zoomies and a special snack cabinet just for me. I also love exploring trails, swimming, soaking up the sun and chewing up my toys. And I love meeting new people! Give me a sun spot to lounge in, a chew toy and some pup ice cream, and I’m in doggy paradise.
10. Gracie
Breed: Wirehaired Fox Terrier City: Denver My Human: Renee Reese
Hello hello! My name is Gracie, and I’m a wirehaired fox terrier who rules the castle. I tell my friends I own my house, but Mom pays the mortgage. I’m an only child, so I get Mom all to myself (and I’m her favorite). A fun fact about me is that my first plane ride was when I was just eight weeks old, from Mississippi. I guess you could say I’m well traveled for a dog! When I’m not eating, sleeping or taking all of Mom’s attention, I love playing with my toys and chasing rabbits out of the yard. I also really like to get sprayed with the hose, and bark, a lot. And when someone says “chicken,” my ears perk up! It’s my favorite treat!
