¼ cup of plain, unflavored yogurt
¼ of a mashed banana
Directions
Combine the ingredients together in a small bowl
Let it sit on face for 15-20 minutes

Why it works: Honey is an antioxidant that has antibacterial properties that help conditions like acne, psoriasis, and eczema. Bananas are a great source of potassium--which hydrates and nourishes the skin. Lastly, yogurt also works as an antibacterial which helps combat acne. Together, these three ingredients give a moisturizing glow to the skin!

For Oily Skin
Ingredients
1 teaspoon of honey
1 teaspoon of green tea leaves
Directions
Dampen a green tea bag and cut open
Release the leaves into a small bowl and add honey
Mix until a paste forms
Leave on skin for 20-30 minutes and wash with lukewarm water
Pat dry and moisturize
Why it works: Green tea has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial components that help balance moisture in the skin without stripping it away. Combined with honey, this face mask is moisturizing and reduces excess oil leaving smooth skin.

For Combination Skin

1 egg white
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of honey

Crack an egg and separate the egg yolk from the egg white
Drain the egg white into a bowl and beat it until white and foamy
Combine lemon juice and honey
Mix together

Pat dry and moisturize
Why it works: Egg whites contain protein that tighten and firm the skin. It’s also used to combat large pores that are often a source of excess oil. Lemon juice acts as a skin brightener and can help uneven skin. Honey, again, is a great base for most facemasks as it adds a moisturizing element.

Why it works: Vitamin E is one of the main ingredients in popular scrubs as it softens and can reduce inflammation in the skin. Coconut oil is a natural sterilizer and works as an antifungal which helps fight bacteria on the skin’s surface. It’s also a fatty acid that helps make skin stronger and smoother. Lastly, sugar is used to lightly exfoliate. Be sure to not over exfoliate or scrub too hard, as too much abrasion can cause microtears on the skin.
