1. Mexican Meets BBQ in Millersville
New to the Millersville area, El Toro Barbacoa recently opened in the former Barn Door Restaurant on Route 999. This modern dining experience is a whole new take on Mexican dishes, where you can find not only handmade tacos and burritos, but also delicious barbacoa that melts in your mouth. In this BYOB establishment, your server will happily make you a margarita with El Toro’s mixers when you bring along your own tequila. Stop in for lunch Tuesday through Friday, dinner Tuesday through Thursday and Saturday, or you can even check out the brunch menu on Sundays.

2. STEM at the Center
The Whitaker Center in Harrisburg now has additional space for STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) programming. This includes coding, robotics, Girls in STEM, Girl Scout badges, and more. The Center also has extra drop-in STEM programs every day that are included with Harsco Science Center admission. This added space will also be handy for meetings, professional development, and events.

3. Shop Small on the West Shore

4. A New Reason to Love Lititz
As if Lititz weren’t a charming enough town to visit, a new market has opened in the old Wilbur Chocolate Factory where you can get local coffee, made-to-order fresh pasta, and more. The revitalized building opened in August as Market at the Wilbur and has six vendors: Oola Acai Bowls and Smoothies, Presto Pasta, Rooster Street Butcher and Deli, Waltz Vineyards, Whiff Roasters, and Zig’s Bakery. Along with these stands, the Blackworth Live Fire Grill restaurant has opened.
